Temperature Dependence of Heavy Meson Masses
Using a previously derived QCD effective hamiltonian we find the masses of heavy quarkonia states. Non perturbative effects are included through temperature dependent gluonic condensates. We find that even a moderate change in these condensates in a hot hadronic environment (below the deconfining transition) is sufficient to significantly change the heavy meson masses. The study of hadronic mat...
متن کاملStatic-light meson masses from twisted mass lattice QCD
We compute the static-light meson spectrum using two-flavor Wilson twisted mass lattice QCD. We have considered five different values for the light quark mass corresponding to 300 MeV < ∼ m PS < ∼ 600 MeV. We have extrapolated our results, to make predictions regarding the spectrum of B and B s mesons.
متن کاملMeson Masses in High Density QCD
The low-energy effective theories for the twoand three-flavor colorsuperconductors arising in the high density limit of QCD are discussed. Using an effective field theory to describe quarks near the fermi surface, we compute the masses of the pseudo-Goldstone bosons that dominate the low-momentum dynamics of these systems.
متن کاملOn Meson Masses
It is shown that in the framework of analytical confinement, when quark and gluon propagators are induced by an vacuum selfdual gluon field with constant strength, the masses of meson with quantum numbers Q = J P and quark constituents m 1 , m 2 are described with reasonable accuracy by the formula 1 + A Q (m 2 1 + 1.13m 1 m 2 + m 2 2) 0.625 , where a constant positive parameter A Q is unique f...
متن کاملMeson masses in large Nf QCD from Bethe-Salpeter equation
We solve the homogeneous Bethe-Salpeter (HBS) equation for the scalar, pseudoscalar, vector and axial-vector bound states of quark and anti-quark in large Nf QCD with the improved ladder approximation in the Landau gauge. Quark mass function in the HBS equation is obtained from the Schwinger-Dyson (SD) equation in the same approximation for the consistency with the chiral symmetry. Amazingly, d...
